We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team!

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that all Mastercool products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Working closely with the engineering team, this position involves hands-on inspection, measurement, and troubleshooting to uphold compliance and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support product development.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and sample incoming parts and products using measurement devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections for Finished Goods to verify visual, dimensional, and functional requirements.
  • Identify and document non-conformities during inspections and initiate corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate directly with the engineering team to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
  • Communicate with Global suppliers to resolve quality issues with materials or components.
  • Assist in root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve non-conformities and customer complaints.
  • Maintain and update quality records, including inspection reports, calibration logs, and test results.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures for new product introductions.
  • Provide feedback to internal departments to continuously improve product quality and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards and participate in audits as required.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred:
  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or equivalent credentials.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Certification.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification.
  • Fluency in Spanish, as much of the internal workforce uses Spanish as their first language.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
