Job Summary:
Food and Beverage Bar Attendants are responsible for providing a clean and pleasant experience for bar patrons by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting bars and tables, and ensuring the bars are well-stocked and tidy.
Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:
- Ensure that Bartenders have everything they need during service, including but not limited to clean glasses, garnishes, liquor, beer and spirits, and ice cube.
- Cleans and sanitizes tables, chairs, serving stations and other surfaces around the bar to ensure a sanitary and safe dining experience..
- Set bars and tables according to The Betsy standards.
- Responds to customer inquiries and promptly responds to customer requests or complaints.
- Clears any dirty or unused dishes, glassware, linen or silverware from the table and carries them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Performs serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in the bar, to facilitate customer service.
- Carries food, dishes, trays, or silverware from the kitchens to the serving station or the bar as needed.
- Cleans up spilled food or drinks or broken dishes and removes empty bottles and trash.
- Maintain adequate supplies of items, such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays.
- Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in the bars or other food service areas and mops or vacuums floors.
- Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
- Carry linens to or from laundry areas.
- Performs additional tasks as required by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year of prior experience in a luxury hotel or high end restaurant strongly preferred.
- Must be able to:
- Speak, read, write, and understand basic English. Spanish is desirable;
- Fulfill the Food Handler and Responsible Vendor training and certification requirements;
- Perform physically demanding tasks like standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs of weight, and work outdoors;
- Use a point of sale system;
- Follow detailed instructions;
- Convey a professional image;
- Identify and address details;
- Work well with others;
- Multi-task.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
