Position: Substitute Cafeteria Worker - 4 hours daily

Location: Sussex Technical High School

Reports To: Principal/Assistant Principal

Starting Date: As soon as mutually agreeable

Qualifications:
  • Minimum education of High School diploma required.
  • Previous experience working in field of food prep and serving preferred.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work on short notice.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety procedures and cleanliness standards.
  • Must be able to complete essential job functions including but not limited to:
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift more than 50 lbs.
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Prep food, wash dishes, clean tables, and serve food to students.
  • Function as part of a team to deliver breakfast and lunch to students daily.
  • Take direction from the cafeteria manager and assistant manager.
  • Observe all food safety and cleanliness procedures.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment: At-will position. Substitutes are not employees of the school district but rather work on a day-to-day basis as needed.

Salary and Benefits: Non-benefit eligible position. Compensation is recorded on an hourly basis. Substitute cafeteria workers earn an hourly rate of: $18.19/hr.
