Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that equipment is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications. This role involves prioritizing equipment repairs, creating and following preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance technicians and engineers, and inspecting and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities Supervise the maintenance staff and schedule for preventative and critical tasks. Ensure the safety and appearance of manufacturing equipment. Oversee the maintenance of equipment, new installations, and some PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Support and supervise Total Preventative and Predictive Maintenance (TMP) activities. Provide guidance and resolution to technical and operational problems. Ensure employees are trained on safety procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements. Track and document all maintenance, upgrades, and repairs. Establish priorities and equipment needs for maintenance and repairs. Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory for preventative maintenance. Ensure all equipment is inspected and calibrated at least once a year. Supervise activities for direct and indirect reports. Ensure the ready status of idle equipment. Interact with internal and external groups to facilitate proper maintenance. Troubleshoot, perform, and assist in maintenance and repairs. Track the production and activity of the maintenance workforce. Develop and maintain historical data files on all equipment. Work flexible hours and respond to emergencies after work hours. Essential Skills High School Diploma, GED, or technical trade certificate. 6+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting and repair. 2+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of experience with basic machine tools and fixturing (mill, lathe, hand tools, etc.) preferred. 1+ years of experience with hands-on electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting preferred.
