Job Description
The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating parts to the print, laying out parts, and welding parts together. This is a fabrication job shop, so projects will range from Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals Projects, Concrete Forms, and Ornamental Iron work. Due to the nature of the work, the type of welding and fabrication can vary from project to project.
Responsibilities- Read blueprints and fabricate parts according to the print
- Lay out parts and weld parts together
- Operate overhead crane and forklift
- Set up and operate fabrication machinery such as Press Brake, Iron Worker, Plasma Table, etc.
- Grind and clean welds
- Assist in the paint area
- 3+ years of welding and fabricating experience
- Proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and TIG welding
- Ability to read blueprints with weld symbols
- Experience with layout and fitting
- Strong measuring skills
- Experience operating overhead cranes, Iron Worker, and Plasma Table is a plus
- D1.1 or other welding certifications are a plus
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
