CAD Technician

We currently have an opening for a CAD Technician to join our Design team located in Bellevue, WA. This role will be primarily responsible for producing CAD drawings involving structural, mechanical (heavy moveable structures), electrical, and civil/site elements for locks, dams, levees, guide walls, bridges, and other infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years in structural drafting including experience utilizing Bentley's OpenBuilding Designer (formerly known as AECOsim Building Designer) Connect edition. Apply today and join the company that is Leading with Science. Your Role: Proactively engage with design engineers to ensure timely project completion within allocated budgets. May include occasional overtime work Effectively produce CAD drawings using Bentley Connect Series and AutoDesk Software Analyze complex sketches, notes, and other input to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision Communicate effectively with engineers and other CAD team members Utilize CAD best practices and QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of their work Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 2-5 or more years of relevant experience and working knowledge of structural/ electrical/ mechanical engineering principles, practices, and methods 2+ years of experience with Bentley products (MicroStation) is required. Bentley OpenBuildings Designer support is the primary tool used 2+ years of experience with Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) also preferred Experience using U.S. Army Corps of Engineers CAD Standards is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, committed to project schedules and deadlines, able to work within a team environment and independently, and self-motivated Solid work ethic with attention to detail, a care for the handling of projects, and a desire to improve and grow their knowledge What We Can Offer You: Work on projects that are local, national, or sometimes international. The hourly wage range for this position is approximately $26 to $35 depending on education, qualifications, experience and work location.
