This opportunity is in the Human Resources Department:
The Human Resources department is responsible for key areas typically associated with HR, such as talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation, benefits, payroll, employment law compliance, and performance management. Role Description:
As a Human Resources Intern, you will be immersed with our department and receive opportunities to make significant contributions to various projects throughout the summer internship. This includes the opportunity to shadow and collaborate with all areas of our Human Resources Department so that you can gain a broad perspective of the role of HR in a large enterprise. The effort and ideas you contribute to our real-world projects will make a direct and lasting impact for all employees across Safety National and help us achieve our vision "To be First with Co-workers".
Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Human Resources Intern will include working on an assigned project as well as, completing tasks as assigned. Your coursework in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or similar will be put to good use as you learn to apply what you've studied to real-world business challenges. Here you will sharpen your collaboration skills, be involved in many aspects of project management, and receive plentiful growth opportunities and effective coaching and mentoring all along the way.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate or currently enrolled student in a Human Resources, Organization Development, Business Administration, Business Management or similar program
- 30 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no later than May of 2027
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Absolute commitment to upholding privacy and confidentiality
- Fundamental knowledge of human resources policies, procedures and laws
- Ability to work on-site at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146
- Ability to work a full-time schedule (37.5 hours) in summer of 2024
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work or internship experience
- Prior experience with an HRIS system
