What You'll Do:
As a CAD Draftsman, you will create CAD models, prints, and other materials to ensure accurate fabrication based on customer expectations and orders.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- You will create CAD layouts, prints, and drawings, following specifications provided, that accurately reflect the design expectations of the customer and ensure accurate fabrication of new or redesigned vehicles.
- You will assist the technical writing area by drafting illustrations that will accurately demonstrate the assembly or product information needed for customer material from information provided.
- You will create Bill of Materials for all new/enhanced products following the product specifications on materials to ensure efficient purchasing and assembly.
- You will communicate, collaborate, and interface with Engineering and Technical Writing to assist in CAD modifications throughout the stage-gate process.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma with education or training in CAD Drafting, Engineering Technology, or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and course work will be considered
- Experience: 1+ years of AutoCAD/Solid Works or similar drafting experience in specialty vehicle, RV, high end living trailers, bus, boat, electronics, or other advanced manufacturing environments that has created advanced blueprints (with wiring, various rooms, room details, etc.
- Certification(s): CAD certifications are a plus but not required.
- Functional Skills: Solid ability in AutoCAD Drafting and illustration (drawings) skillset, detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to complete projects on time and accurately; can look at the visuals and product specifications and create an accurate CAD model. Requires a high level of prioritization, organization, and time management skills required; strong mechanical aptitude also needed to understand what needs to go into the CAD drawing. Able to problem-solve and manage projects independently.
- Technology Skills: Solid skillset in Inventor AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other similar AutoCAD/Modeling Software experience; also solid in Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel).
- Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skillset to work with various levels within the organization. .
- Leadership/Behaviors: Must be motivated with high-energy and customer-focused; can work collaboratively and independently; is able to take feedback to learn and grow.

Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Approximately $55,000 - $75,000 total compensation package, based on proven expertise.

Reports To: Director of Operations
Core Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (Will work approx. 8 - 9 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week: M-F typically; 40 - 45 hours a week on average
