About the Team
Our sales team within our aftermarket division at ZF is a small, close-knit team based in Vernon Hills, IL. The team includes account managers, business development managers, and category product managers, all working collaboratively to support our industrial product line, which encompasses construction equipment, material handling, agriculture, and machine drives. This role involves up to 50% travel across North America annually, providing ample opportunities to engage with clients and drive business growth.
What you can look forward to as an Account Manager
Serve as the primary contact in assigned sales channels where interactions require knowledge in Pricing, Purchasing, Material Planning for Industrial products, specifically remanufactured products.
Develop, maintain, manage planning of customer deliverables: Quotations, Inquiries, market research, analysis, writing, document review, or projects.
Determine relative strengths and weaknesses of our competitors and communicate to regional teams. Gather and analyze competitive information to assess our relative position for subsequent action.
Represent/Manage company in industry and/or customer conventions.
Lead efforts within the customer organizations to gather sales data in a format that will measure the effectiveness of the sales organization.
Design and create programs and sales promotions tailored to the unique strengths of the company and customers.
Consult customers in developing aftermarket strategies and lead by innovation.
Your profile as an Account Manager
BS or BA Degree required. Business, marketing, engineering, or related field preferred.
3+ years sales experience in OEM, Service, Aftermarket, preferably in powertrain & remanufactured products.
Highly motivated to define and execute strategies to expand product and service sales.
Proven organizational abilities to successfully interact, develop, maintain, and follow through on responsibilities.
Problem resolution, process improvement and negotiation skills.
Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel 40%.
