Job Description
Our client, a sports and entertainment organization located in Queens, NY is hiring for a Recruiter to join their growing team. As a Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's team and culture by partnering with business unit leaders and hiring managers to align mission and values with hiring goals. You’ll own the entire recruitment process from crafting innovative strategies to sourcing top talent, evaluating candidates, and leading the offer process across a variety of roles. Beyond recruiting, you’ll spearhead initiatives to boost operational efficiency, drive data-backed decision making, and lead impactful change as the company grows.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct full cycle recruiting efforts for all open roles: including posting, talent sourcing, candidate evaluation and screening, interview process, offer negotiations, and close out process.
- Serves as an instrumental team member in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Travel to industry and community networking events to promote employment brand.
- Excellent analytical skills to track recruitment metrics and interpret data for strategic recruiting campaigns.
- Has comprehensive understanding of procedural requirements for H-2B visa petitions and applications alongside extensive client interaction to address legal inquiries.
- Maintains accurate recruiting data using the applicant tracking system.
- Maintains a high level of understanding of company compensation practices and policies and enforces these policies during the recruitment cycle.
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, trades schools, Racing programs, and internet sites
- Displays a growth mindset built on continuous learning and improvement.
- Has the ability to work independently and be organized, action oriented and self-driven.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training.
- Serves as a back-up for Recruitment & Employee Experience Generalist.
Minimum Requirements:
Extensive working knowledge of all Microsoft Programs, Human Resources Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Education (minimum): Bachelor’s degree and 3 years recruiting experience or 7+ years’ experience recruiting experience.
- Other Requirements: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR preferred.
