Job Overview
The Restaurant Server provides an exceptional dining experience to guests by providing courteous and efficient service. The Server is responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages and creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment.

High school education or related experience. Alcohol awareness certification and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Ability to understand and comply with proper ordering and food handling techniques and state and local serving guidelines. Process guest checks and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.

What you'll be doing
- Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests or preferences.
- Order Taking: Listen attentively to guests' food and beverage orders, making note of any special instructions or dietary restrictions. Accurately input orders into the restaurant's ordering system.
- Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and drinks promptly and accurately to guests' tables. Ensure proper presentation and verify that orders match customers' requests.
- Product Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials. Offer recommendations to guests based on their preferences and answer any questions they may have.
- Upselling: Suggest appetizers, side dishes, desserts, and beverages to enhance the guest's dining experience and increase sales. Skillfully promote specials or featured items.
- Table Maintenance: Keep tables clean and properly set with utensils, glassware, and condiments. Clear empty dishes and reset tables efficiently for new guests.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and attentive manner. Address any concerns, provide solutions, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Payment Processing: Present bills to customers, handle payment transactions accurately, and process credit card transactions. Return change, receipts, or credit card slips promptly.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bussers, and other servers to ensure smooth coordination of orders and efficient service flow.
- Sanitation and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and following proper hygiene practices.
- Special Events: Participate in and assist with special events, parties, and catering functions as required.
