Job Description
In addition to developing and building a talented, adaptable, strategic and high-performing team, the Head of Marketing will be accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that will drive brand awareness, market penetration, new product launches and accelerated sales growth across the entire Alastin portfolio. Strong partnership with VP of Sales, Channel Strategy & Loyalty, Professional & Industry Relations, Congresses, Portfolio/ Pipeline and other cross functional leaders. This position reports to the Head of Alastin, US.
Key Responsibilities
Leads transformation of Alastin Brand and Team from small start-up to high performance, nimble and market leading brand.
Leverages market data, intel, customer insights, field input and analytics to drive clear and cohesive strategy across Consumer and HCP segments and develops clear plans of action and Performance metrics across channels.
Supports all marketing and promotional strategy and activities for HCP and Patients/Consumers; directs Brand strategy to be implemented through PR, Social, Digital, Loyalty and other channels – works closely with partners in relevant functions to ensure consistent and aligned execution and implementation of brand strategy.
Works with Global to align on Brand direction, look and feel and approach as relevant and where appropriate.
Develop comprehensive and aligned marketing plans, brand strategy and launch execution.
Lead the development and execution of promotional offerings.
Fosters a leadership culture, which attracts, develops and retains high caliber leaders, helping to build and shape the business to drive the future success of the organization.
Reviews, oversees and approves all marketing strategic plans derived from corporate goals. Approves marketing forecasting activities and performance goals accordingly.
Creates and executes plans working cross functionally with partners in research and development, clinical, sales, financial planning, Loyalty, and Professional Relations.
Owns marketing budget ensuring delivery of all activities within agreed budget.
Has deep engagement with customers, sales force and strong presence in field and at key congresses and customer events and drives similar approach across team.
Attends Galderma Sales Meetings, National and Regional, and local conferences as required.
Directs and manages employees and the overall direction, coordination, approval and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Life Sciences required; MBA or Master’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent strongly preferred.
Fifteen (15) years of marketing experience with ten (10) years of increasing managerial and cross-functional experience in Marketing roles in Beauty/Cosmetics or Pharmaceuticals.
Product launch experience required.
Five (5) or more years in Marketing leadership role with demonstrated successful history leading marketing teams.
Ability to lead direct reports and team, establishing clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback and assessing and evaluating performance.
Sophisticated understanding of the Aesthetics and Dermatological Skincare market; Ecomm and digital/media expertise required.
Previous demonstrated success in launching products and product life cycle management.
Highly developed analytical skills and data savvy.
Proven track record of effective people management including coaching, motivating and development planning.
Ability to lead and drive through change.
Performance driven mindset focused on delivering results in a fast paced and changing organization.
Ability to pivot and adapt to market and organizational changes.
Strong strategic marketing and business acumen.
Ability to navigate and work in a nimble and adaptable way and navigate and prioritize focused resources.
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
