We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:
PayPal is committed to building and scaling the next generation of payment integration technologies for merchants, consumers, and developers globally. We are looking for an experienced and technically adept Lead Product Manager, Payments Platform Technologies to drive the development of the next generation of scalable payment solutions.
Your way to impact:
As a key leader in our team, you will work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to define, build, and launch globally scalable platform technologies that empower developers and merchants to integrate payment solutions seamlessly. Your technical expertise and leadership will be critical in enabling faster, more efficient scaling of our payment ecosystem.
Your day-to-day:
Build strategy for and deliver payment platform solutions.
Define and execute the roadmap for next-generation platform technologies, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and integration experiences.
Dive deep into the technical details, working with engineering teams to design frameworks, APIs, SDKs, and integration tools that enable faster deployment and adoption.
Collaborate with engineering to design and build payment solutions that support diverse use cases, including subscriptions, micropayments, and cross-border transactions.
Leverage knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and integration tools to accelerate development and deployment.
Scale platform solutions:
Engage with third-party vendors and platform partners to craft integration solutions that are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance.
Dive into technical details, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers to develop solutions. Proven ability to work on complex systems and frameworks.
Analyze system performance, customer feedback, and market trends to refine product strategies and prioritize high-impact initiatives.
Team leadership:
Manage and mentor junior Product Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and high performance.
Articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you need to bring:
10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years leading teams. Demonstrated success in building platform technologies, APIs, SDKs, or payment integration tools.
Strong knowledge of the global payments network using cards, ACH, bank transfers, real-time payments, alternative payment methods, payment gateways, tokenization, risk, and fraud management.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, PSD2, and AML/KYC standards. Experience implementing encryption and tokenization solutions.
Prior experience in financial technologies, banking, and finance sectors in global markets is a plus.
A Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related technical field is helpful in this role.
Fluency in English and strong communication skills required.
