SUMMARY:
The Cafeteria Worker (part-time) assists with preparing food for breakfast and lunches and cleaning up after food services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
Some previous food industry experience preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card at the time of hire.
Must possess a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint clearance card within 90 days of employment.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Work is performed in a commercial kitchen environment and requires exposure to hot and cold temperatures, potentially dangerous equipment, and hazardous chemicals. May be required to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

The Cafeteria Worker (part-time) assists with preparing food for breakfast and lunches and cleaning up after food services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares items for breakfast and lunch services.
- Assists with cooking menu items for meals. Wraps and pre-plates appropriate food items.
- Records food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures.
- Sets-up steam tables; organizes food service lines, milk station, and snack bar.
- Checks student ID's for lunches. Works as a cashier at the snack bar as needed.
- Records the snack bar product inventory after lunch service.
- Cleans and sanitizes lunch tables, dishes, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
- Assists with the restocking of food items and supplies, and preparing inventory of leftovers.
