Summary of Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Production Designer to support GU Energy Labs' marketing efforts across digital and print platforms. In this role, you will help produce a wide range of materials across various platforms including social media graphics, email campaigns, brochures, product packaging, and website assets. You'll play a key role in working closely with our Marketing and Sales teams to create compelling designs that resonate with our target audience while maintaining brand consistency across all platforms, ensuring our designs align with our brand's identity. This is a hybrid role with weekly in-office work from our Berkeley HQ required. This part-time position will have the potential to transition to full-time in 2025. The estimated hours for this role is approximately 20-30 hours per week, depending on workload and project needs.

- Design Support: Assist in producing digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, email campaigns, brochures, packaging, and website assets.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs align with the brand's identity and maintain consistency across all visual outputs.
- Social Media Content: Collaborate with the marketing team to design engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, stories, and Ads.
- Creative Input: Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas for campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Feedback Incorporation: Receive and incorporate feedback from senior designers and other stakeholders to refine and improve designs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 1-3 Years.
- Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Knowledge of other design tools is a plus.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work with an emphasis on digital content (Meta ads, email, and informational handouts)
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all designs meet high standards of quality.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
