Job Summary
We seek an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead and manage our commercial HVAC service operations in San Jose. The ideal candidate will bring over ten years of hands-on HVAC service experience, with a strong background in large applied equipment such as chillers, boilers, VRFs, and large tonnage package units. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful management of technician teams and office staff, overseeing profit and revenue growth, maintaining safety standards, and providing critical training and mentorship to the dispatch coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead medium to large teams of HVAC commercial service technicians and office staff, ensuring optimal team performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage all aspects of the service department's operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive profit and revenue growth while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices, fostering a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to dispatch coordinators, helping to build a solid and knowledgeable support team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of HVAC service experience, focusing on large applied equipment (chillers, boilers, VRFs, large tonnage package units).
  • Proven experience managing medium to large teams of technicians and office staff within the commercial HVAC sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including the ability to troubleshoot and guide teams on complex equipment issues.
  • Must be local to the Bay Area and demonstrate a stable work history in the HVAC industry.
  • Experience in managing departmental budgets, profit and loss statements, and revenue generation strategies.
