Job Summary
We seek an experienced HVAC Field Service Manager to lead our commercial HVAC service operations in the San Francisco Bay Area. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with over ten years of hands-on experience in HVAC service, particularly with large applied equipment such as large tonnage package units, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing medium to large service technician teams, overseeing office staff, and driving profit and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage medium-to large-sized commercial HVAC service technicians and office staff teams, ensuring efficient operation and high team morale.
- Drive profitability and revenue growth through effective management practices, including cost control, efficiency improvements, and strategic planning.
- Ensure all service operations adhere to the highest safety standards, implementing regular training and safety protocols to protect team members and clients.
- To support team troubleshooting efforts and ensure service excellence, utilize extensive knowledge of large applied equipment, including large tonnage package units, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems.
- Provide ongoing training and mentorship for dispatch coordinators and junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- 10+ years of HVAC service experience, with a strong emphasis on large applied equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage medium to large teams in a commercial HVAC environment.
- Proven experience in managing profit and revenue streams, with a solid understanding of budgeting and financial management in the HVAC industry.
- Strong commitment to safety, with a history of implementing and overseeing safety programs in a service setting.
- A stable work history with a preference for candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Familiarity with building automation systems and related HVAC software tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for mentoring and developing team members.
