Internship Summary

Trilogy Lacrosse is seeking highly motivated candidates with an interest in Event Management and Operations to be part of our team this Summer! Our Tournament Operations Interns will play a critical role in the pre-event operational planning and on-site execution of our tournaments as we host over 1,000 teams at events this summer. The goal of this internship is to develop a better understanding of all the preparation and behind the scenes that go into running large scale summer tournaments. This internship is based in New Providence, NJ, and requires weekend work and event-based travel.

Duration: 10 Weeks: May 19 - July 25: Start date flexible based on school schedule.

Compensation: $600/week

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Play a critical role in the pre-event operational planning for our summer tournaments
  • Positively impact the overall customer experience at our events
  • Perform event setup and breakdown at various summer events
  • Play a wide variety of roles during the execution of summer tournaments including HQ Support, Timekeeping, Score Entry, Bracketing, Field Marshaling, College Coach Liaison, and General Troubleshooting
  • Manage tournament waiver and roster collection through phone calls, emailing and text messaging customers.
  • Create documents for all summer tournaments including Event Signage, Rules, Staff Guidelines, Scoresheets, maps and Operations Plans
  • Support packing, loading, unloading, and movement of event supplies for all summer tournaments in accordance with established schedule. The use of a personal vehicle to transport supplies may be necessary at times.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
  • Excellent organizational skills including spreadsheet management
  • Possess a roll up the sleeves attitude and ability to perform loading, unloading and setup tasks at events
  • Attention to detail and punctuality in communication and record keeping
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with co-workers, vendors, parents, staff
  • Professional and courteous oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills, calm demeanor, strong ability to follow-up, passion to see project through to completion
  • Ability to succeed in team-oriented and independent project environments
  • Time-management skills: ability to prioritize and multi-task jobs associated with position
  • Ownership mentality for position-related responsibilities and company as a whole
  • Creative problem solving abilities
  • Microsoft Office, Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Pages) and MacOS Proficiency
Required Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 Year of College Experience
  • Lacrosse playing experience is preferable, but not required
