We are seeking a talented Data Analyst/Scientist to join a dynamic team supporting a global financial services and banking organization. This long-term contract role offers an opportunity to work on high-impact projects that drive data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data visualization, data mining, and analysis, with a strong technical background. Experience in sustainability-focused analytics or a passion for sustainability is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Visualization:
  • Develop advanced, dynamic dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Qlik Sense.
  • Leverage data visualization to craft compelling stories and insights for stakeholders.
  • Optimize visualizations for performance and ensure seamless usability.
  • Data Mining & Analysis:
    • Perform deep dives into large and complex datasets using advanced data mining techniques.
    • Identify actionable insights, trends, and patterns to inform strategic business decisions.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across analyses.
  • Systems & Technical Expertise:
    • Write efficient and scalable backend scripts using Python.
    • Work with relational databases to query, analyze, and manipulate data.
    • Utilize Alteryx for exploratory data analysis and workflow automation.
    • Support UI development for data visualization tools to ensure an intuitive user experience.
  • Sustainability Analytics (Preferred):
    • Contribute to projects focused on sustainability metrics and reporting.
    • Analyze data related to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives to support the client's sustainability goals.
    • Use data to identify opportunities to enhance sustainable practices and report progress.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Experience: 5+ years in data analysis or data science roles, preferably in financial services, banking, or related industries.
    • Technical Proficiency:
      • Expertise in Tableau, Qlik Sense, Python, Alteryx, and relational databases.
      • Advanced knowledge of data mining and statistical analysis techniques.
    • Sustainability Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with ESG data analytics, reporting frameworks, or sustainability metrics.
    • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset for a hybrid work environment.
