Job Description
We are eagerly seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist with a penchant for optimizing processes and resolving challenges. Our ideal candidate will ensure the seamless and efficient operation of HR functions under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Human Resources. Responsibilities span across various HR domains including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and more. This role demands exceptional organization, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in supporting a diverse ESOP company.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer bi-weekly payroll including analyzing and inputting data such as garnishments, leave accruals, and deductions.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, collaborating with managers to identify, interview, and onboard qualified candidates.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
  • Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate meetings to educate employees on benefits and distribute necessary notices.
  • Develop and maintain affirmative action programs and ensure compliance with EEO regulations.
  • Compile and submit OSHA and worker's compensation reports annually.
  • Handle employee relations matters, escalating complex issues to the Senior HR Manager.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews, maintaining trend data for retention strategies.
  • Manage accurate employee records in HRIS and other databases.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HR Generalist or similar roles, with specific experience in California.
  • Three (3) years of payroll processing experience required.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems; Kronos experience is advantageous.
  • Intermediate knowledge of California Wage & Hour laws.
  • Familiarity with FMLA regulations and other employment laws.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
