Job Description

Pay Range: $68,640-$78,530

Purpose of Position: To supervise the receipt, warehousing and issuance of construction materials, supplies and equipment necessary for the repairs, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of production facilities, including but not limited to: Fryer Production, feed mills, hatcheries, Turkey Live Production, and administrative offices (office supplies, etc.).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Direct the day to day physical distribution activities, such as, but not limited to:
  • Receiving, issuing and counting of materials.
  • Resolution of discrepancies and problems associated with physical activities.
  • Maintain efficient space utilization.
  • Supervise and perform material control activities, such as, but not limited to:
  • Review and process receiving, issues, adjustment and inventory count records.
  • Issue accuracy and accountability of the computerized perpetual inventory system.
  • Reconcile discrepancies of physical and book inventories.
  • Review and process inventory documents and reports.
  • Develop and maintain reports and statistical data.
  • Signal any unusual conditions or trends in use as they are noted.
  • Develop inventory levels or order quantities to meet management objectives.
  • Supervise and implement the sale of used vehicles, equipment and miscellaneous supplies program.
  • Receive, identify, and prepare items for sale.
  • Develop and maintain bidders list.
  • Conduct sale, prepare sale documents, receive monies and process internal forms.
  • Direct and supervise warehouse personnel.
  • Performance evaluations of subordinates.
  • Coordinate vacation and leave coverage.
  • Make work assignments and work schedules.
  • Employee development and training.
  • Provide a safe work environment.
  • Provide peripheral services and duties.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Perform additional material movement and storage duties as requested.
  • Assist with departmental and cost center planning, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Work on other assigned projects.
  • Coordinate activities using department management.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in warehousing/material management . 
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work well under deadlines and in a changing environment.
  • California Class C Driver’s License and clean DMV record.
  • Must be a self starter, have strong leadership and decision making skills and able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Programs. Knowledge of or ability to learn SAP.
  • Must be detailed oriented. Have strong mathematical and analytical aptitude.
  • Ability to respond to after-hours emergency requests.
  • Ability to interface on a daily basis with all support groups and departments.
  • Ability to travel to and assist with the Fresno Live Production warehouse facility
  • Must be able to understand, follow and enforce all Company and Department policies and procedures
