We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Sacramento, California. Within this role in our organization, you will serve as an essential liaison between our team and its members, focusing on Employee Relations and Internal Investigations. You will contribute to the creation and implementation of policies that promote a positive work environment, ensuring fair treatment and protection of employee rights.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to employee-related issues including complaints, allegations of harassment, and civil rights complaints, advocating for employee rights
• Carry out detailed and impartial internal investigations in response to grievances and complaints, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary
• Formulate and apply appropriate remedial measures to lessen identified business risks, including resolution of misconduct issues
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure the application of company policies and procedures, and assist in the development of these policies and procedures as required
• Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
• Monitor and report on the workplace climate to identify potential or current issues of concern and recommend strategies to promote and ensure a positive workplace
• Offer guidance and advice to management on corrective action processes and employment terminations to minimize risk and ensure compliance with policy and law.

• Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager
• Proficient understanding of Human Capital Management (HCM)
• Familiarity with Benefit Functions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong knowledge of Compliance and legal regulations in HR
• Expertise in Employee Relations, fostering a positive work environment
• Ability to handle Complaint Investigations with discretion and professionalism
• Experience in Conducting Investigations related to workplace incidents
• In-depth understanding of Labor Employee Relations
