We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in the Food industry located in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama. This role will require the successful candidate to handle a variety of tasks related to accounting and financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits on capital projects to ensure invoice amounts are correct

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and Accounting Software Systems to manage financial transactions

• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) processing, ensuring that all invoices are accurately recorded and reconciled

• Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, ensuring timely and accurate billing

• Use Great Plains Accounting system to maintain financial records

• Perform reconciliation tasks between fixed asset ledger and general ledger

• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to accounting and financial matters

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status

• Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary
• Must possess a comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential
• Knowledge in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed
• Proficiency in Auditing tasks is mandatory
• Experience in Billing Functions is crucial
• Must be skilled in Great Plains Accounting
