Ronzone of Texas, Inc. in Leander, TX is a rapidly growing hospitality business that is looking for more talented folks to join our team and grow alongside our company! We're currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team full-time in a hybrid on-site/work-from-home role.

Summary

The HR Generalist provides operational and transactional human resources support to Ronzone of Texas, Inc. employees and managers. It is essential in providing overall support with a wide range of HR requests, which may include employee handbooks, training, and development, overseeing employee life cycle process, conducting surveys, exit interviews, compliance training, ADA process and leave of absence administration. The HR Generalist will support approximately 75 employees at this time, but will be able to be an integral part of company and employee growth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Full-Cycle Recruiting

    • Source talent and attract candidates; create and implement recruiting strategies for difficult-to-fill positions
    • Apply HR recruiting best practices; screen, assess, interview, and hire great employees that align with company values and standards
    • Collaborate with managers to proactively identify future hiring needs
    • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
    • Create and update job descriptions and postings; manage applicant tracking system
    • Conduct and facilitate new-employee orientation
    • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports
    • Promote the Company's reputation as the best place to work
  • Payroll
    • Accurately and timely processes all aspects of weekly payroll
    • Responds to employment verifications and pay inquiries
    • Responsible for accuracy of data information entered and maintained in the HR Information System
    • Process all HR transactions such as new hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes, job classifications, terminations
  • Business Partner and Employee Relations
    • Assist managers and employees with conflict resolution to ensure fairness, compliance, and consistency
    • Coach and guide managers to promote leadership effectiveness as they identify and analyze the training and development needs of their employees and performance management opportunities; assist in creating and documenting steps involved
    • Expand and develop existing new-hire training program and performance review program
    • Conduct thorough HR investigations
    • Maintains knowledge of, and performs all duties in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, industry-recommended best practices, and company policies
    • Monitor employee morale and company culture; drive employee engagement
    • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed to support the organization; conducts research and identifies best practices
    • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential information and sensitive issues; be a trusted member of the company management team
    • Works on moderately difficult assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations
  • Desire to continually enhance and expand HR knowledge
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with the ability to establish priorities
  • Ability to build relationships with and influence others across multiple operations
  • Excellent business communication and presentation skills; attention to detail
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven, adaptable, and resourceful approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred
