We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to oversee and coordinate the activities of packers in a food production or distribution setting. This position ensures that packaging operations are performed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, knowledge of warehouse operations, and experience working with food products. Bilingual preferred. Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Work Hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Supervise Packers: Lead a team of packers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to established procedures and schedules.
• Ensure Food Safety Standards: Follow and enforce food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA guidelines) to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Oversee Packaging Operations: Ensure food items are packaged correctly, labeled accurately, and prepared for shipment or storage.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing stock levels of packaging materials and supplies, reporting shortages, and coordinating replenishment as needed.
• Quality Control: Inspect packed products to verify compliance with quality standards and address any issues or defects promptly.
• Training and Mentorship: Train new packers on proper procedures, safety guidelines, and company standards.
• Collaboration: Communicate with other departments (e.g., production, shipping/receiving) to ensure smooth workflow and resolve operational issues.
• Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce workplace safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to equipment safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packaging operations, including quantities packed, materials used, and any incidents or discrepancies.
