The Onsite Recruiter's role is to build and strengthen the candidate pipeline for various positions by engaging in community outreach. This includes grassroots initiatives such as building strong relationships with community leaders, local government representatives, and local businesses.
Location: Jackson, WI
Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews and coordinate with hiring managers to assess qualifications and fit.
- Plan, organize, and lead recruitment events to attract and engage potential candidates.
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling and logistics for in-person and virtual interviews, ensuring seamless communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Partner with hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with staffing needs.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of candidate pipelines, search processes, and hiring manager feedback.
- Travel to technical schools, city offices, and government facilities to host informational sessions and conduct interviews, targeting top talent from sources such as unemployment offices, chambers of commerce, and veteran associations.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and innovative recruiting techniques to implement state-of-the-art practices and maintain a competitive edge.
- Perform other recruitment-related duties as assigned by the PeopleScout Manager and Client Managers.
Core Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven experience in grassroots recruitment, organizing hiring events, and conducting community outreach.
- Proficiency in advertising job openings on job boards and sourcing candidates through various channels.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent presentation skills, capable of engaging audiences in both small and large group settings.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit for a diverse range of roles across multiple levels.
- Proficiency in recruitment tools and platforms, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and job boards.
- Knowledge of grassroots recruitment strategies, community outreach, and event coordination.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for travel to recruitment sites and events.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent, hands-on experience managing the entire recruitment lifecycle preferably in Foodservice Distribution, Logistics, Foodservice or Transportation.
- Must be able to travel to work On-Site in Jackson, WI.
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Workday, ICIMS, Greenhouse, or UKG Pro.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with talent acquisition teams to meet hiring objectives.
- Experience in campus recruitment and community outreach initiatives to build candidate pipelines.
- Skilled in facilitating new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Ability to generate comprehensive reports with actionable insights for leadership review.
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).
Work Environment:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, especially during events and outreach activities.
- Requires the ability to lift and carry recruitment materials and equipment, such as displays and promotional items, weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and other office equipment for communication and documentation.
- Primarily works in an office setting, with frequent travel to offsite locations such as schools, community centers, and hiring events.
- May occasionally work in outdoor or non-traditional environments during recruitment events.
Education:
- A minimum of Associate's or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Salary Range:
The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $28.00 and $40.40 per hour.
Pay is based on qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training and other considerations permitted by law. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with applicable law.
