As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our incredible team.

Job Summary: As an Accounting Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director. In this role, you will establish and maintain accounting processes aligned with the company’s goals, always keeping continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Supervise Daily Accounting Activities: Oversee and ensure the accuracy, quality, and transparency of daily accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, credit card transactions, and financial reporting. Ensure that all transactions align with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, mentor, and supervise the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Provide guidance, resolve team member issues, and encourage personal and professional growth. Regularly assess team performance and implement development plans as needed.
  • Process Improvement & Implementation: Develop, document, and revise accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Finance Director to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist the Finance Director
  • Project Management& Special Initiatives: Lead or participate in special accounting projects as directed by Finance Director
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure all accounting activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries

Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring high standards of performance and attention to detail across the team

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an accounting focus preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of prior supervisory experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, GAAP laws, and regulations with a deep understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software, particularly NetSuite and Sage, and advanced in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Analytical & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve problems both independently and in group settings, providing sound recommendations
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and supervise assigned team members ensuring individual development and team success
  • Continuous Improvement: Ability to develop and maintain accounting processes with a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing enhancements where needed
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to accuracy and quality in all accounting transactions, ensuring transparency and trust in all financial reporting
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial data and sensitive company information
  • Project Management: Experience in coordinating both individual and multi-team projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment efficiency and improvement
  • Business Process Improvement: Ability to analyze and understand business processes, offering recommendations for operational efficiency and improvement

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without a work sponsorship. Candidates may be asked to pass a drug test and/or background check.
