Job Title: Production Manager-Plastics
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our plastic production operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of plastic manufacturing processes, including design, tooling, production, and quality control. The Production Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of technicians and operators to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of plastic production operations, including scheduling, planning, production, and quality control.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of technicians and operators to ensure that production goals are met.
- Monitor and maintain production equipment, including extruders, dies, and downstream equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that safety and environmental regulations are followed, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Work closely with other departments, including sales, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure that production goals are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and prepare regular reports for management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in production management-Plastics manufacturing preferred
- 5yrs experience in the plastic manducating processes, including design, tooling, and production; Blow molding, rotational molding preferred, thermoforming, injection molding etc.. considered
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
