JOB DESCRIPTION:
We seek a meticulous Production Planner to oversee, manage, and coordinate our supply chain operations.
The Production Planner is an essential team member responsible for managing the complex balance of resources, schedules, and processes to ensure the smooth execution of our production operations. They meticulously plan and coordinate production schedules, considering the availability of raw materials, equipment capacity, and workforce capabilities. By closely monitoring inventory levels and demand forecasts, they optimize production efficiency while minimizing waste and costs. Additionally, the Production Planner works closely with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and manufacturing, to align objectives and streamline processes. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are indispensable for upholding the highest quality standards, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across our production process. Production Planners play a critical role in logistics and supply chain management, ensuring that goods, materials, and products flow seamlessly from manufacturers to consumers. They are responsible for overseeing and managing the timing of deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
• Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
• Assign workers and other staff to production operations.
• Schedule shifts according to production needs
• Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
• Address issues when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption.
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.)
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
• Maintain organized paperwork.
• Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven track record as a Production Planner, Supply Planner, Inventory Planner, or similar role.
• Excellent understanding of production planning and quality control principles.
• Proficient in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and SAP ERP systems.
• Ability to comprehend complex problems and make informed decisions.
• Strong skills in mathematics, analytical mind with business acumen.
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferably 2 to 3 years of planning and management experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent role.
