Summary
Thermoflex is a fast-growing, manufacturer that designs and manufactures all-weather floor mats for the automotive industry. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Production Planner/Scheduler. This role is responsible for supporting the production operations by planning, preparing, and adjusting production schedules to minimize loss, create efficiencies, and meet customer demands. This position is responsible for utilizing IQMS ERP System by planning information to develop, communicate, and monitor daily/weekly schedules at all levels of manufacturing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and control scheduling activities by balancing production and inventory levels with demand to support the customer levels, inventory turn goals, and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.
- Communicate confirmed schedules to production team in a timely and efficient manner.
- Learns and leverages all aspects of Thermoflex’s ERP system to manage the supply chain and operational activities.
- Analyze container availability and ensuring inventory levels are accurate.
- Optimizes capacity utilization by minimizing production changeovers
- Troubleshoot production reporting errors
- Confer with departmental heads or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes to the dynamic schedule
- Analyze minimum hold levels for production on a regular basis, utilizing/creating the ERP system to create automatic work orders. Managing work order dates based on changes in take rates
- Track daily sales, sales at standard cost, and daily labor costs.
- Completing/updating daily reporting for production team utilizing ERP system
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Other duties as assigned by management
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 2 – 5+ years’ experience working in Production Planning/Scheduling
- Experience working in manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
- Demonstrate initiative; results oriented; willingness and ability to institute change
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional organization skills
- Motivated to grow and develop skills for advancement
- Proficient in scheduling software; ERP systems
