Akkodis is searching for a highly skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in turbine systems to lead the design, development, and implementation of turbine manufacturing processes, utilizing systems engineering principles.
Type: 3-6 month - Contract to Hire (Possible Direct Hire)
Pay Rate on Contract: $45/hrly - $50/hrly
Salary upon conversion: $90k - $105k/Annual
Location: Brighton, CO and Surrounding Area's
Responsibilities:
- Apply C++ and Python for coding design, simulation, and automation of manufacturing workflows.
- Strong background in systems engineering, coding (C++ and Python), robotics, mechatronics, and 3D printing
- Innovate and optimize production systems, integrating robotics, mechatronics, and automation solutions to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate 3D printing technologies into turbine production for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing techniques to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Work alongside other engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality turbine systems.
- Implement best practices in coding design and systems integration to streamline operations and reduce downtime.
- Drive a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly within the turbine or energy industry.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python for design and automation tasks.
- Experience with robotics integration and mechatronic systems.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of system engineering principles and their application in manufacturing settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and implement creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working within cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
