Job Summary

The Host/Greeter is responsible for providing prompt, friendly, courteous, and efficient service to all restaurant guests while creating a memorable experience by greeting, escorting/directing guests, providing accurate information, and responding to inquiries, requests, and concerns.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Greet arriving guests and determine reservation or place guests on waiting list, when applicable.
  • Escort guests to their assigned table or direct them to designated waiting areas.
  • Present guests with menus, communicate server name, relay any relevant information, and remove any additional place settings.
  • Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to inquiries and requests.
  • Engage with guests to ensure they are satisfied with food and overall service.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.

Requirements:

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Luxury hotel/fine dining experience preferred.
  • High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
  • Aloha experience is a plus.
  • Open Table experience is a plus.
  • Food Handlers card is required.
  • Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in English- verbal and written.
  • Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
