Job Title: QC Lab Technician Job Description Conduct routine and non-routine chemistry and microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process formulations, and final products to established specifications. Utilize and operate laboratory equipment and instruments according to laboratory work instructions or procedures, including pH, conductivity, UV, KF, FTIR, and titrations. Understand and follow Quality Control test methods or compendia methods (USP, EP, BP, JP, or ACS) and EXCIPACT standards. Calculate and generate data for compliance to specifications and report results. Perform technical review of lab data forms, such as water, environmental monitoring, and direct measure analysis. Calibrate and maintain lab equipment. Enter final results and raw data for tested materials or products in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) as needed. Perform investigative analysis to support investigations, complaints, or instrument troubleshooting. Perform Environmental Monitoring duties, requiring gowning into cleanrooms and collecting air and surface samples. Review discrepancies in data, manufacture COA, COC, and perform data verification in accordance with company procedures. Apply appropriate disposition labels to materials (accepted, rejected, etc.). Handle hazardous materials using appropriate safety PPE and equipment. Complete documentation legibly and review for accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in a science field. 1-3 years of laboratory experience in a related field. Experience with quality control, chemistry, laboratory work, biology, GMP, HPLC, QC, wet chemistry, quality assurance, microbiology, analysis, titration, and inspection. Additional Skills & Qualifications Wet chemistry experience preferred (e.g., Acid/Base Titrations, water content). Ability to confidently explain chemistry testing techniques and instruments (e.g., Titration, GC, GLC, HPLC, TMC, UPLC, FTIR, ICP-MS, ICP-OES). Work Environment The employee will work in a regulated laboratory environment within a manufacturing facility that mainly produces excipients and high-purity chemicals such as buffers, amino acids, and salts. The role requires handling hazardous materials with appropriate safety PPE and equipment, and performing Environmental Monitoring duties that involve gowning into cleanrooms. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
