Skid Assembler (Night Shift)

Job Title: Skid Assembler (Nights) Pay is based on years of experience $22-$30/hr Job Description The Skid Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units, testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools (wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts) to assemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units depending on the drawings/blueprints. There will be times you will work on your own and times you will work with a group of other assemblers. Utilize a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to product prior to shipping. Perform workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification. Responsibilities Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. Test and calibrate parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble parts according to drawings/blueprints. Work independently or in a group to complete assembly tasks. Apply shrink wrap material to products using a propane hand torch. Follow workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification. Essential Skills 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics. Proficiency in operating measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools. 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift or scissor lift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly, hand tools, production, mechanical assembly, power tools, blueprint reading, schematics, and skid assembly. Why Work Here? Frequent lifting and moving of objects between 10 - 50 pounds is required. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. The night shift operates from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
