The Legal Recruiting Coordinator, reporting to the Associate Director of Legal Recruiting and Professional Development, will provide support and assistance to the Firm's Legal Recruiting Department focusing on our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for the on-campus recruiting season by gathering information for law schools
  • Coordinate law school on-campus interview registration
  • Coordinate the completion of on-campus interview (OCI) materials for attorneys including binders, resumes, evaluation forms, office statistics, and school information
  • Prepare statistical reports for each law school
  • Set-up and participate in all on-campus events
  • Serve as the liaison for students invited for call-back interviews and field questions as appropriate
  • Schedule multiple in-office interviews per day and handle all cancellations and changes as they arise
  • Track interview feedback
  • Plan law school panels, receptions and recruitment dinners
  • Prepare and organize materials for Hiring Committee meetings including resumes, transcripts, evaluations, statistical reports and weekly updates
  • Generate response letters and track candidates in legal recruiting application tracking software (viRecruit)
  • Coordinate foreign associate hiring and tax LL.M. hiring as directed by the departments
  • Assist with judicial clerk recruiting efforts including the planning and execution of a clerk hiring reception
  • Assist with the Summer Program, including:
    • Preparing all onboarding materials and summer associate binders
    • Planning summer associate events
    • Creating and updating charts
    • Maintaining RSVP lists and creating name tags
    • Preparing for Summer Program Committee meetings
    • Tracking summer associate evaluations
    • Preparing for mid-summer and end-of-summer reviews
    • Handle summer program conference room and logistics
    • Scheduling trainings and preparing materials for students


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting the Legal Recruiting Function with an Am Law Top 200 firm
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks and work well in a high-pressure environment, with a wide range of professionals
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Availability outside of regular business hours to support the recruiting function
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Facility with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and communication skills


This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
