We are seeking a Senior Manager, Associate Recruiting to join the firm. The Senior Manager of Associate Recruiting is responsible for leading a team that provides specialized recruitment support across the firm's designated practice areas in the U.S. This role also oversees the Student Recruiting team to ensure student hiring initiatives align with the practice's needs and the firm's long-term talent pipeline goals. In collaboration with practice group leaders, partners, directors of practice operations, and members of the associate recruiting team, this role ensures that recruiting strategies are aligned with the firm's strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in fostering the associate recruiting team's growth, maintaining collaborative relationships across practice areas and more broadly across the firm, and continuously improving recruiting processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
•Partner with practice leaders, directors of practice operations, managing partners, and others to understand hiring priorities and market trends across practice areas and student recruiting in order to implement a cohesive US latera and summer associate recruiting strategy.
•Act as a trusted advisor to partners, senior leaders and the student recruiting team, providing insights and updates on recruiting initiatives, challenges and successes within each practice area.
•Enhance the firm's brand within target legal talent pools, supporting initiatives to position the firm as an employer of choice in specific practice areas and among top student talent.
•Develop best practices and oversee a seamless and consistent process for team members to drive, including interview scheduling, pre-employment offer, hiring process coordination, and associate orientation and onboarding to ensure optimal employee experience.
•Implement best practices and continuous improvement within the recruiting process, utilizing metrics and feedback to enhance efficiency and anticipate future hiring needs.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with legal search consultants and search firms.
•Stay informed on market trends, competitive hiring practices and emerging best practices in legal recruiting specific to each practice area and student hiring.
•Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability, empowering the team to build effective relationships with practice group leaders and student recruiting stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

EXPERIENCE SKILLS REQUIRED
•Bachelor's degree preferred
•Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with significant experience in managing a team and overseeing recruiting processes in a law firm or professional services environment
•Exceptional organizational skills to manage time, prioritize and handle multiple deadlines, as well as well-developed and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with and interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
•Proven ability to develop strategic recruiting programs, ideally with a focus on practice area specific recruiting or specialized recruiting functions.
•Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to guide and mentor team members toward becoming SMEs within their assigned practice groups
•Growth mindset with a focus on innovation, adaptability and continuous improvement in recruiting practices
•In-depth knowledge of legal recruiting trends, market competition, and the unique demands of various practice areas within a law firm.
•Highly motivated, creative, flexible, and results-oriented and the ability to work independently under pressure with demanding deadlines
•Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
•Proficiency with applicant data tracking software, preferably PeopleSoft
•Experience in working with legal search firms; facilitating and negotiating lateral placement agreements

ADDITIONAL ABILITIES REQUIRED
•Frequent computer use at workstation up to eight hours at a time
•Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
•Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, in-office work, occasional travel, and evening/weekend hours
•This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to open file cabinets, lift files, bend and stand on a stool may also be required.

Compensation Salary $124,000 - $249,000

The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.

As required by the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative Ordinance and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants for our Los Angeles and San Francisco offices with arrest and conviction records will be considered.
