Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 3rd Shift 10 PM – 6 AM M-F
Location: Bartlett, IL
Target Pay Rate: $25/hr-$37/hr


We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting machine setup, inspections, preventive maintenance, and work order services. The ideal candidate will proficiently diagnose, repair, replace, and overhaul mechanical components of various types of equipment, including but not limited to production and packaging equipment, as well as electrically operated machinery, variable speed controllers, and HVAC systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct machine setup, inspections, preventive maintenance, and complete work orders for service.
  • Diagnose, repair, replace, and overhaul mechanical components on equipment such as blenders, grinders, pumps, fillers, sealers, cappers, conveyors, metal detectors, printers, case packers, and more.
  • Perform emergency repairs during production and scheduled maintenance on both production and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including both building and machine electrical panels.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and utilize software for work orders, PMs, and service orders.
  • Complete and submit job-related documentation, including downtime reports, spare parts usage, preventive maintenance logs, and work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and install low and high voltage electromechanical and control systems for utility.
  • Assist with system startups, configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
  • Follow all company safety rules, GMPs, and comply with OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training with exposure to high-speed equipment.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in packing/production machines; experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work interdepartmentally and with vendors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Flexible availability for weekends and other shifts as needed.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying tools, kneeling, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
