Amare Global is seeking to add a
Senior Director Global Tax
to their rapidly growing organization. The Sr. Director, Global Tax will lead and oversee all aspects of the company's global tax strategy, compliance, and operations. This includes corporate income tax, sales tax, and indirect taxes across our 50 global markets. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, ensure compliance with complex regulatory requirements, manage risks, and optimize tax efficiencies to support the company’s business objectives. *** Please note that this position is based out of Mahwah, NJ and will require a significant presence in the office *** Key Responsibilities: Strategic Tax Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with Amare’s growth and operational goals. Advise executive leadership on tax planning opportunities and risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tax strategies with overall business initiatives.
Tax Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, sales tax, and indirect tax filings in all jurisdictions. Oversee the global tax provision and reporting processes, including ASC 740 compliance. Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure proactive compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
Global Tax Operations:
Manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors to resolve tax audits and disputes. Optimize global tax processes, including automation and standardization, to enhance operational efficiency. Lead tax due diligence and integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions.
Sales Tax and Indirect Tax Management:
Oversee indirect tax policies and processes, ensuring compliance with VAT, GST, and other applicable taxes across multiple jurisdictions. Provide guidance on sales tax implications for direct selling activities and e-commerce transactions.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and mentor a high-performing global tax team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the tax function.
Risk Management and Tax Optimization:
Identify and mitigate tax risks across global operations. Develop and implement tax-efficient structures to optimize cash flow and minimize tax liabilities.
Minimum Requirements: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, JD, or Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred. Experience:
Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in corporate tax, including global tax operations, preferably within a multinational organization. Expertise in direct selling, consumer products, or e-commerce industries is a plus. Skills:
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, and international tax regulations. Proven track record of managing global tax compliance, audits, and risk management. Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and drive tax planning initiatives.
