Manufacturing Material Handler

Job Description

The Manufacturing Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and managing materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient production flow by delivering materials to the appropriate workstations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the safe and organized storage of all materials.

Material Handler (What you'll do) Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and supplies.

· Safely transport materials to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

· Verify that the correct material has been prepared, adapting it precisely to the requirements of the customer's order.

· Deliver materials to production lines or production areas as needed to ensure continuous operations.

Production Support:

· Supply different production areas with necessary materials in a timely manner to avoid interruptions.

· Assist in staging and preparing materials for production runs.

· Help with the setup and teardown of materials as needed.

Inventory Management:

· Maintain accurate inventory records by properly labeling, counting, and recording stock.

· Perform regular cycle counts and report discrepancies to the supervisor.

· Assist in inventory control and monitoring stock levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials.

Storage and Organization:

· Organize and store materials in designated areas according to the facility’s layout and safety standards.

· Ensure the proper storage of hazardous materials, complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.

· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and storage areas.

Quality Control:

· Ensure that all products meet quality standards before they proceed to the next stage of production.

Safety Compliance:

· Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

· Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

· Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel immediately.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material movements and inventory levels.

· Report any discrepancies, shortages, or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.

· Complete and submit daily logs and reports as required.

Labeler Shift Info

• Night Shift, 10PM to 5AM

• Monday - Friday

Labeler Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

• · Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).

  · Strong organizational and time management skills.

  · Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.

  · Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.

  · Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

  · Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting is a plus.
