Manufacturing Numbering Operator

Job Description

The Numbering operator is responsible for setting up, monitoring its performance, and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production levels on Thermo and Franklin-Kensol machines, which are used for processes such as hot stamping. Additionally, the operator conducts routine inspections and troubleshoots issues. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic to maintain the high standards of production expected in the manufacturing industry.

Machine Operator Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)

• Machine Operation:

  · Set up and operate Thermo and Franklin-Kensol machines according to production schedules and job specifications.

  · Adjust machine settings to meet specific product requirements, including pressure, temperature, and speed.

  · Set up machines for different production runs by configuring parameters, loading cards, and conducting test runs.

  · Monitor machine performance to ensure optimal operation and product quality.

  Efficiency and Productivity:

  · Ensure that production processes are running at peak efficiency, with minimal downtime and waste.

  · Monitor the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently, adjusting as needed.

  Quality Control:

  · Perform startups inspections to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.

  · Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.

  · Document and report any deviations or quality issues to the Production Supervisor.

  · Make necessary adjustments to the machine to correct any issues and maintain high-quality standards.

  · Continuously monitor the numbering process to detect and correct any deviations from quality standards.

  Maintenance:

  · Perform routine maintenance on the Thermo or Franklin machine to ensure they operate efficiently.

  · Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to prevent downtime.

  · Coordinate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs or servicing needs.

  Safety Compliance:

  · Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

  · Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure that safety guards and devices are in place and functional.

  · Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel immediately

• · Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery or products, and report problems to supervisors or maintenance teams.

  Documentation and Record Keeping:

  · Maintain accurate and detailed records of production activities, including output quantities, machine settings, downtime and any issues encountered.

  · Complete production logs and quality control reports as required.

  · Report any equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

  Inventory:

  · Report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors to ensure continuous production.

  Teamwork:

  · Work closely with other operators, technicians, and supervisors to achieve production goals and resolve issues.

  · Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any production issues.

  Training:

  · Participate in training programs to stay current with industry standards and company procedures.

  · Assist in training new operators in Thermo or Kensol-Franklin machine use and safety practices.

Machine Operator Shift Info

• Night Shift, 10:00PM to 5:00AM

• Monday - Friday

• Physical Stamina:

  · Endurance to work extended hours, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as production demands.

  · Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts and high-pressure situations.

Machine Operator Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

• Machine Operator experience preferred

• Able to work in the US

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  · Proficiency in operating manufacturing machinery.

  · Proficiency in reading and writing.

  · Ability to follow numerical order and maintain sequence continuity.

  · Basic understanding of mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, is required.

  · Computer skills for data entry and report generation.

  · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  · Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs and maintenance.

  · Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

  · Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

• Able to pass a background check 

• Able to work in the US
