Job Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President of the Tradition Campus, the Step Ahead Recruiter for the Tradition Campus promotes and expands participation in dual enrollment programs. This position focuses on engaging high school students, parents, and educators to inform them about the benefits of earning college credits while still in high school. The recruiter will play a vital role in identifying prospective students, guiding them through the enrollment process, and maintaining strong relationships with schools and community stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
* Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.
* Identify and engage prospective high school students interested in the Step Ahead program opportunities through school visits, career fairs, community events, and other outreach activities.
* Collaborate and maintain relationships with high school counselors, teachers, and administrators to identify eligible students and provide program information.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for high school counselors, parents, and students regarding Step Ahead program inquiries.
* Guide prospective students though the application and enrollment processes, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
* Provide ongoing support to enrolled Step Ahead students to encourage program retention and success.
* Develop marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content to promote the Step Ahead program.
* Utilize social media, email campaigns, and other communication platforms to reach target audiences.
* Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, inquiries, and enrollments.
* Analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and recommend improvements.
* Stay informed about trends in dual enrollment, college admissions, and secondary education.
* Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance recruitment techniques and program knowledge.
* Organize and host individual and group prospective student tours.
* Perform other tasks as deemed necessary for the operation of the Admissions Office.
* Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Admissions Office.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree
* Excellent customer service skills
* Mississippi Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree from WCU
* Prior recruitment skills
* Prior office management
* Prior computer experience
* Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands
* Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
* Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
* Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
* Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
* Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment.
* Must have the ability to lift and carry twenty-five pounds.
