The Business Development Director Interim Finance for Korn Ferry is a critical position within our organization. This role serves as the primary developer of new business and new consultants for Korn Ferry’s Interim Finance team in the designated region. This role will offer rewarding opportunities and it will also be extremely demanding. This position will manage client and consultant relationships as well as actively seek out new business opportunities on an ongoing basis to drive the success of the interim teams. This position will develop sales opportunities within their own book of business to continue to grow the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development – 70%
- Drive business development efforts to align with the vision and overall objectives of the firm, responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives for Korn Ferry.
- Collaborate as a team with Business Development Directors working for our affiliate business lines to create brand awareness and growth potential.
- Ensure all current and prospective clients understand and comprehend the overall mission of Korn Ferry’s interim practice.
- Build and maintain relationships with leaders in client organizations to effectively support their organization and learn about their business needs.
- Support clients in identifying and detailing potential business gaps and developing potential solutions to fill them, creating a meaningful experience for the client and consultant.
- Support, coach, and advocate for consultants throughout their projects at client sites to ensure effective and successful project outcomes and positive working relationships.
- Consultant Assessment - 20%
- Interview, source and represent current and prospective consultants in opportunities that will continue to enhance their career objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with consultants to effectively identify career goals and support needs.
- Market Involvement - 10%
- Join professional networking organizations to represent Korn Ferry in the community.
- Attend industry and market events to broaden network and represent Korn Ferry in the community.
- Identify opportunities to join a Board or a cause which you are passionate about.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Skills/Software:
- Computer systems experience to include Microsoft Suite.
- Nice to have experience with customer relationship management systems.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Communicate effectively with employees of all levels within the organization, as well as with clients and the community.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
Salary range represents the compensation Korn Ferry expects to pay to a candidate with the requirements for the job posted. Korn Ferry offers competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
