Job Description:
Position Requirements:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting and financial functions for the manufacturing operations.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain and review the general ledger, ensuring all entries are in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct and review reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and providing backup documentation.
- Manage cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Oversee inventory controls, including cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliation with financial records.
- Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing actionable insights to improve financial performance.
- Track capital expenditures, asset depreciation, and prepare fixed asset schedules.
- Review and approve expense reports, payable invoices, and capital expenditures.
- Conduct financial analysis to support management decisions and evaluate new manufacturing initiatives or projects.
- Assist in managing external audits, ensuring compliance, and providing all required documentation.
- Support regulatory compliance, including tax filings, reporting requirements, and adherence to internal controls.
- Lead or participate in special projects aimed at improving efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing internal controls.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in a controller role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and standard costing methods.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
