We are seeking a diligent PART-TIME Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the food industry located in Whitestown, Indiana. This position offers a contract with potential for permanent employment and will involve tasks such as system uploads, event assistance, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. You will be required to transition from paper files to electronic and spend some time on the production floor. This role will require 2-3 days per week.


Responsibilities:

• Transitioning paper files to electronic, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and organization

• Assisting in the planning and decoration of company events

• Utilizing HRMS for various HR-related tasks

• Conducting background checks as part of the recruitment process

• Providing excellent customer service, handling inquiries and resolving issues promptly

• Adhering strictly to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, particularly when on the production floor

• Uploading various documents into the system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Occasionally being present on the production floor, adhering to safety protocols including the no-jewelry rule.

• Proficiency in Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) is essential.
• Experience with conducting background checks is required.
• Strong customer service skills are necessary.
• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is desired.
• At least one year of experience in a Human Resources role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is necessary.
• Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices is desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word, is required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is necessary.
• Knowledge of HR processes and policies is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is required.
• Experience with employee relations is a plus.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
