About the Job

The successful candidate for this position will work with our existing product development team to assist in the design, development, maintenance and testing of new and existing products. The Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer is responsible for the complete design cycle of new products and will be required to evaluate parts and process for cost efficiency, manufacturability and reliability. The candidate will also be required to coordinate with partners and vendors to be informed of updates and changes to existing components while also aware of new product roadmap information. Qualified candidates will possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills along with implementation of good engineering practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed electrical design, analysis, and documentation, utilizing industry-standard tools and methodologies (e.g., schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB layout).
  • Conduct system-level integration and testing of electrical components and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Perform cable design and develop wiring diagrams and harnesses for complex systems, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Familiar with the use of standard lab equipment for test, verification and debug.
  • Adhere to Parry Labs defined best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Support the manufacturing process by providing design documentation, resolving engineering issues, and participating in design reviews.
  • Analyze technical requirements, develop technical specifications, and contribute to the overall system architecture.
  • Generate failure analysis and problem reports to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field and 10+ years of experience as a hardware electrical engineer.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, digital and analog designs, and signal integrity principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively.
  • Eligibility for obtaining and maintaining security clearance, as required for defense industry projects.
  • Soldering of components to the size of 0402 size.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field and 7+ years of experience as an electrical engineer.
  • Proven experience in board design, schematic building, circuit simulation.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools for board design and layout, such as Cadence OrCAD Capture and Mentor Graphics PADS Layout.
  • Knowledge of cable design, wiring diagrams, and harness development.
