Job Description
The Warehouse Operator performs duties related to warehousing parts. The Warehouse Operator creates significant value to the company by maintaining the control of parts both in to and out of inventory. The Warehouse Operator will proactively address any issues with or deficiencies in inventory and work closely with the Materials Coordinator to make system improvements.
The Warehouse Operator will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Relentlessly pursues being a better-version-of-themselves.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management system (Llumin) to issue out all parts that are physically removed from inventory (including the main warehouse, outside warehouse pad storage, and offsite locations).
- Ensure all parts physically removed from inventory are charged out to a work order in Llumin
- Maintain security of inventory at-all-times. Ensures all entry points are kept closed and locked when not actively in use. When it is necessary that personnel enter a secured warehousing area, accompanies the individual(s) at-all-times. Secures keys, access codes and overhead door operators at-all-times.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Perform warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials.
- Operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment to load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents, warehouse needs, or management instructions.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory counts and locations.
- Create purchase orders as necessary.
- Other duties not listed herein, but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and productive day-to-day operations of the site.
- Maintain a high level of service and work performance, promote a team environment, and maintain a pleasant work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records and company matters.
- Promote E Energy Adams in the community.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- 1 or more years' experience working in a manufacturing, agricultural, or industrial environment.
- A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- The right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
Skills/Abilities Required
- Must be detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people and communicate information to obtain positive results.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, work with fractions, metric system, percentages, decimals, and ability to convert units as required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and the ability to quickly learn different software programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of purchasing and inventory policies and procedures.
- Attention to safety and environmental compliance is critical.
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Physical ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work while standing on a continuous basis.
- Must be able to work outside year-round as this position is stationed in a non-climate controlled warehouse and works throughout the site.
- Ability to communicate by using and hearing a 2-way radio system.
- May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions.
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection).
