We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth and build strategic partnerships in the automotive powertrain manufacturing sector. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and industry-leading clients, contributing to the advancement of sustainable and efficient powertrain solutions.

Client Details

Our client is an emerging player in the automotive powertrain space and ranked as one of the top provate manufacturing companies in China. They are seeking their 2nd US-based hire to spearhead growth in the US powertrain market. The client has recently signed off on a multi-million dollar battery project with a major Tier 1 EV manufacturer, and are seeking new customers for their high-quality products.

Description

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the automotive powertrain manufacturing market. Conduct market research to analyze trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and other industry stakeholders to expand the company's presence and influence.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, focusing on innovative powertrain solutions (e.g., ICE, hybrid, and EV systems). Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to align business goals and ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. Provide insights to guide product development and strategic decision-making.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales in the automotive or manufacturing industry, with a focus on powertrain systems.
  • Strong knowledge of powertrain technologies, including internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electric drivetrains.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and cultivating lasting client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Job Offer

  • $130,000 - $180,000 base salary
  • Performance based bonus and commission plan, which is uncapped
