Automotive Business Development Director
Delta is a leading player in the automotive industry, automotive power electronics and electric drive systems areas, dedicated to innovation and excellence. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to join our team and drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding our relationships with existing customers.This role requires a deep understanding of automotive industry trends, market demands, and product development cycles. The role involved in the entire lifecycle of our automotive products, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. In addition, the Director will play a key role in driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, and fostering partnerships within the automotive ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Identify New Business Opportunities: Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue from existing customers while by attracting new clients. Research and identify potential new markets, clients, and partnerships to drive business growth. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to uncover new opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets.
Expand Existing Customer Relationships: Develop strategies to enhance and grow business opportunities with existing clients. Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty. Identify additional needs of existing clients, address their concerns, and propose relevant solutions.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Utilize market insights to inform business development strategies. Monitor industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies for Automotive Strategic Business Platform in North Americas that align with company goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to set business development goals and objectives. Work closely with various departments, including marketing, RD team, operation, and headquarter business group to create detailed plans to achieve business growth targets. Provide insights and feedback from customers to inform product development for enhancements.
Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), suppliers, and industry partners clients, partners, and industry associations. Attend industry events and conferences to expand professional network. Leverage relationships to generate new business opportunities. Lead negotiations for partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances that can enhance the companys competitive position.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and agreements to potential and existing clients. Ensure proposals are tailored to meet client needs and highlight company strengths. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements and obtain RFI/FRQs.
- Financial Responsibilities and Performance Tracking: Accountable for assigned business financial goals. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities and adjust strategies as needed. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success evaluate the success of business development efforts. . Provide regular updates to senior management on business development progress.
Resources Planning: Construct Automotive Platforms sales structure, optimize sales processes, and manage channels.

Knowledge and experience:
- Deep understanding of the automotive industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Established network of executive-level contacts of OEMs and Tier1 suppliers to facilitate business growth.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the automotive industry with good track record; 15+ years of industry professional experience in Automotive Tier-1 companies
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

- Bachelor of Engineering degree. Either a Master of Science in Engineering and/or MBA is preferred.
