Country Archer is looking for a highly motivated, independent with supervisory experience to oversee the AP and AR functions as well manage capital projects/budgets. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Day to day management and supervision, and enhancement of Accounts Receivable, from collection issues to trade deduction management, new customer set up process and procedures, and steady maintenance of timely cash collection.
  • Day to day management and supervision, and enhancement of Accounts Payables, from vendor set up process to coding accuracy, management of timely processing of AP invoices, process audit and improvements, and work to increase payment terms and cash metrics.
  • Management and tracking with capital projects for both internally and externally financed projects, develop processes and procedures for managing cash flow and optimizing payment schedules, maintaining projects under budget, notifying and understanding why a project is overspent, and working with operations to improve overall capex process.
  • Fixed Asset subledger maintenance, including physical tagging, yearly physical inventory, quarterly cycle counts, system information and implementing NS fixed asset subledger system.
  • Participate and engage in financial and control audits as required with external auditors.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with plant management and leadership on reporting, overall cost savings initiatives and tracking of estimated versus actual savings for projects
  • Lead, train and develop the AP/AR team. Provide day to day coaching, management and support professional development opportunities.

What will make you successful in this role:
  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 6 years of manufacturing accounting experience; supervisory experience is required.
  • CPA is a plus
  • Highly proficient with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite or related is desired.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office suite with the ability to learn as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
