Position Summary
This Accounting Manager role is part of the U.S. Controllership team, reporting to the Associate Director of North America Accounting. This position provides backfill support for daily accounting operations while existing team members focus on an enterprise-wide system implementation project.
The role is responsible for U.S. accounting functions and requires collaboration across global teams. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to bridge accounting tasks with various business functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the fixed asset subledger in Oracle, including mass asset additions, CIP confirmations, retirements, and approvals.
- Review vendor contracts to ensure proper U.S. GAAP accounting treatment.
- Prepare and review journal entries, including prepaid additions, amortizations, and expense accruals.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform flux analysis with detailed commentary.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Assist with 10-Q and 10-K submissions to the External Reporting team.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance.
- Build partnerships across finance and business units to provide accounting guidance.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency across regions.
Required:
- Minimum 6+ years of accounting experience with hands-on GL financial close responsibilities.
- Fixed assets and capital projects accounting experience is essential.
- Experience managing complex vendor contracts.
- Experience with publicly traded companies and financial controls.
- Background in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiarity with Record to Report (R2R) and Source to Pay (S2P) processes.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, data analysis).
- Experience with Oracle EBS or SAP ERP systems.
